The hovercraft team made it to mile 487 today - about 300 miles behind schedule. High winds exceeding 30 mph forced the hovercraft to be sidelined on the river bank and wait until the weather calmed down. The team is almost out of Missouri, very near Kansas.
The team plans to head out around 6:00 AM tomorrow to start making up ground. They plan to reach Sioux City tomorrow around 3:00 PM where they will rendezvous with the Missouri River Boat Club. Video: Day 03 Video Clip (3.84 MB Quicktime File Format) Photos: None.
