Belt drive propellers are typically used in applications requiring a reduction drive system. Automotive engines and 2 stroke engines require a belt reduction drive to keep the propeller tip speeds within their specified limits. A reduction drive makes it possible to use larger diameter propellers on virtually any engine. Larger propellers result in higher thrust output. The propellers listed below are for belt reduction drives. Please indicate as much of the following information as possible when ordering: 1. The diameters of the upper and lower pulleys, or the reduction ratio. 2. The engine horsepower, max RPM, make and model. 3. The direction of rotation if standing behind the hovercraft looking toward the propeller. Universal Hovercraft will use the information above to determine which propeller is best for your application. It is very important that you give us as much information as possible. NOTE: please supply correct information as this information will be used to determine the best propeller and pulley combination for your application. |
