4-Stroke Power is a must have! Renegade uses a V-Twin, fuel injected engine. Renegade Premium Kit and Renegade IQ use a liquid cooled V-Twin, fuel injected engines. Most small pleasure hovercrafts are powered by noisy, fuel gulping 2-stroke engines. Our 4-stroke engines offer low noise, dependability and fuel efficiency.
Don’t be fooled by manufacturers suggesting that HDPE or fiberglass-matt is the best construction material for a hovercraft. It’s not! It may bring down the manufactured cost and increase production – the compromise is performance, durability and reliability. We take our lead from the extremely successful leasure marine and aircraft industries. A proper hovercraft design always considers the finished weight and strength of the vehicle. The craft must perform well and have excellent impact resistance. Renegade IQ hulls are constructed of a virtually indestructible Kevlar & foam core sandwich.
