Learn to Fly a Hovercraft
Want to take one for a spin?  Our introductory flight allows you to see what flying a hovercraft all is about. Entering our training program gets you ready to “solo” as quickly as possible. Renting from our hovercraft fleet allows you the freedom to enjoy a truly all-terrain vehicle whenever and wherever you want.

Introductory flight:
So you want to fly a hovercraft? The first step for most people is to take an Introductory Flight Lesson. For about the cost of a nice dinner for two you can go out on the Rock River with one of our Certified Flight Instructors and actually fly the hovercraft. After seeing for yourself just how much fun it is to fly, we're sure you'll want to do it again.

Training program:
Our expert trainers will guide you through all levels of hovercraft operation and maintenance so you can either rent hovercraft for use here in Rockford, or purchase a hovercraft for use anywhere in the world. Our trainers are hovercraft record setters; world champions, national champions and speed champions with the most experience you will find anywhere.

Our training includes a flight manual, classroom instruction, flight training on land and water. The classroom session explains the basics of hovercraft, how it works, fundamentals behind piloting a hovercraft, terminology and basic maintenance.

Advanced training:
UH offers advanced hovercraft training for individuals and professionals working in rescue, commercial operations and military. Specialized training in flood rescue, swift water rescue and ice rescue is available.
